[ITR Issue] System Integration Infrastructure Construction Guidelines White Paper

The recent emergence of innovative technologies such as "Cloud," "Big Data," "IoT," and "AI" has brought about major changes in the business environment. In response to these external environments, it is becoming increasingly important to build infrastructure that flexibly connects multiple systems, regardless of whether they are cloud or on-premise, and contributes to management decision-making. This survey, which is conducted annually as a fixed-point observation, has seen "integration and reconstruction of IT infrastructure" as the most important issue for the seventh consecutive year. The environment surrounding corporate IT has changed to an extent that was unimaginable seven years ago, but the survey results show that many companies believe that individual system improvements are no longer enough to keep up, and that integrating and reconstructing IT infrastructure is necessary in any era.

This white paper also presents survey results showing the current state of system integration among Japanese companies and introduces success stories, and lists the following eight points to keep in mind when considering building a system integration infrastructure, as well as discussing approaches to ensure success.
