Saison Technology Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Makoto Hayama; hereinafter referred to as "Saison Technology") announced that " 10 for Container Services" has been adopted by Workthy Corporation (Head Office: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture; President: Norifumi Imoto; hereinafter referred to as "Workthy") for file integration with tax offices and financial institutions for its NISA Cloud Service, an IRS certified cloud service for financial institutions. (Head Office: Fukuoka, Japan; President: Kenji Imoto) announces that HULFT 10 for Container Services has been adopted for file linking with tax bureaus and financial institutions.

Starting in January 2026, financial institutions will begin providing the purchase (book value) balances of their NISA accounts to the NISA Cloud, and going forward, HULFT 10 for Container Services is expected to handle the secure exchange of approximately 8.7 million *1 new NISA book value balances.

background

Founded in 2006, Workthy leverages its expertise in specialized engineering to provide services that enable users to comfortably utilize systems, applications, and interfaces that make work and life more convenient. Workthy offers new added value to its customers through a wide range of services, from services for private companies such as the "Private Delivery e-Tax Linkage Service" for financial institutions, to services exclusively for government agencies and individuals.

In light of this, Workthy also offers the "NISA Cloud Service," an NTA-certified cloud service that enables financial institutions to provide the National Tax Agency with their purchase (book value) balances for NISA accounts. The new NISA sets a lifetime investment limit for tax-free holdings, and from January 2026, financial institutions will be required to provide the National Tax Agency with information on their purchase (book value) balances. For this reason, the "NISA Cloud Service" was developed to enable financial institutions to securely provide the National Tax Agency with their purchase (book value) balances for NISA accounts via the cloud.

The NISA Cloud Service had already prepared an environment that could support each financial institution with multiple connection methods using the SFTP protocol, but many financial institutions that considered using the service expressed a need for file transfer using HULFT. As a result, we began considering making HULFT available as an option for file transfer methods on the NISA Cloud Service.

Reasons for adopting "HULFT 10 for Container Services"

While considering using HULFT for file integration, the company decided to adopt HULFT 10 for Container Services, which can run on the container orchestration service on Amazon Web Services and is highly compatible with the company's cloud services and development environment. It also evaluated the ability to directly integrate files with Amazon S3, the object storage system that was intended to be used as the data storage destination for HULFT Cloud Services.

Workthy cited the following reasons for adopting "HULFT 10 for Container Services."

  • Extensive operational track record in financial institutions and trust from companies using "HULFT"
  • Using templates, you can set up a file integration environment in just 20 minutes and use it as if it were a fully managed system.
  • The convenience of container orchestration and easy file integration with object storage

Effects of implementation

In preparation for financial institutions starting to provide their purchase (book value) balances to the National Tax Agency from January 2026, financial institutions are currently conducting integration tests with the "NISA Cloud Service" provided by the company. File sharing via "HULFT 10 for Container Services" is planned to take place throughout the year, including annual data submissions and monthly account balance change information.

As of the end of March 2025, of the approximately 800 financial institutions managing over 26 million New NISA accounts, just under half are scheduled to adopt the NISA Cloud Service provided by Workthy. Information such as purchase (book value) balances for approximately 8.7 million New NISA accounts, which accounts for one-third of all New NISA accounts, is expected to be shared as files using HULFT.

When using HULFT 10 for Container Services, Workthy highly values the fact that they can use it like a fully managed service by selecting Fargate as the launch type, which allows containers to be run serverlessly. Furthermore, HULFT itself operates stably, and by using HULFT, which is trusted by financial institutions, they can smoothly coordinate between systems that normally require coordination for file sharing, and also benefit from the faster speed at which services can be implemented compared to using the SFTP protocol.

Workthy also provides various services to the administrative and financial sectors, and plans to continue using HULFT in other projects in the future.

For a case study of Workthy using "HULFT 10 for Container Services," please see the following URL:

*1 As of the end of March 2025, the number of new NISA accounts will be 26 million, with approximately 800 financial institutions managing the accounts. Approximately half of these (approximately 400 banks) will use Workthy's "NISA Cloud Service," and approximately two-thirds will use HULFT for file integration, so the total number of accounts is estimated to be approximately 8.7 million.
