Saison Technology Co., Ltd. (Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Makoto Hayama; hereinafter "Saison Technology"), in file transfer with tax offices and financial institutions for its NISA Cloud Service, an IRS-certified cloud service for financial institutions from Workthy, Inc, We are pleased to announce that "HULFT 10 for Container Services" has been adopted.
Starting in January 2026, financial institutions will begin providing the purchase (book value) balances of their NISA accounts to the NISA Cloud, and going forward, HULFT 10 for Container Services is expected to handle the secure exchange of approximately 8.7 million *1 new NISA book value balances.
background
Founded in 2006, Workthy leverages its expertise in specialized engineering to provide services that enable users to comfortably utilize systems, applications, and interfaces that make work and life more convenient. Workthy offers new added value to its customers through a wide range of services, from services for private companies such as the "Private Delivery e-Tax Linkage Service" for financial institutions, to services exclusively for government agencies and individuals.
In light of this, Workthy also offers the "NISA Cloud Service," an NTA-certified cloud service that enables financial institutions to provide the National Tax Agency with their purchase (book value) balances for NISA accounts. The new NISA sets a lifetime investment limit for tax-free holdings, and from January 2026, financial institutions will be required to provide the National Tax Agency with information on their purchase (book value) balances. For this reason, the "NISA Cloud Service" was developed to enable financial institutions to securely provide the National Tax Agency with their purchase (book value) balances for NISA accounts via the cloud.
While the "NISA Cloud Service" had already been prepared to support various financial institutions through multiple connection methods using the SFTP protocol, many financial institutions considering using the service expressed a need for file transfer using "HULFT." Therefore, we began considering making "HULFT" an option for file transfer within the "NISA Cloud Service."
Reasons for adopting "HULFT 10 for Container Services"
While considering HULFT for file transfer, we found that HULFT 10 for Container Services, which can run on Amazon Web Services' container orchestration service, has high compatibility with our own cloud services and development environment. We also appreciated its ability to directly integrate files with Amazon S3, the object storage we intended to use as a data storage location for our NISA cloud service. As a result, we decided to implement HULFT 10 for Container Services.
Workthy cited the following reasons for adopting "HULFT 10 for Container Services."
- Extensive operational track record in financial institutions and trust from companies using "HULFT"
- Using templates, you can set up file transfer environment in just 20 minutes and use it like a fully managed system.
- The convenience of container orchestration and easy file transfer with object storage.
Effects of implementation
In preparation for financial institutions to begin providing the National Tax Agency with purchase (book value) balances starting in January 2026, financial institutions are currently conducting sequential integration tests with the "NISA Cloud Service" provided by the company. file transfer via "HULFT 10 for Container Services" will be carried out throughout the year, including annual data submissions and monthly account balance change information.
As of the end of March 2025, nearly half of the approximately 800 financial institutions managing the more than 26 million new NISA accounts are expected to adopt Workthy's "NISA Cloud Service," and information such as the purchase (book value) balances of approximately 8.7 million new NISA accounts, which is about one-third of all new NISA accounts, is expected to be shared via file transfer using "HULFT."
Workthy highly values the fact that, when using "HULFT 10 for Container Services," they can use it like HULFT HULFT itself is stable and trusted by financial institutions, which makes coordinating between systems that would normally require adjustments for file transfer smoother, and that it allows for faster service implementation compared to using the SFTP protocol.
Workthy also provides various services to the administrative and financial sectors, and plans to continue using HULFT in other projects in the future.
