Education support for the next generation
Sponsorship of the National College of Technology Programming Contest
The "National College of Technology Programming Contest," commonly known as "National College of Technology Programming Contest," is a competition in which students from colleges of technology across Japan devise programs based on themes given in each of three categories: assigned tasks, free-form programming, and discussion, and compete on ideas, completeness, and other factors.
Our company sponsors the National Institute of Technology Programming Contest (KOSEN PLOCON), a valuable platform for nurturing talent that will lead the next generation of IT technologies, through industry-academia collaboration.
Our CTO participates in the final judging process, and as a sponsoring company, we also judge and present awards for corporate prizes.
Shiga University and Teikoku Databank Joint Research Center uses DataSpider
A client (a steel wholesaler) conducting joint research with Shiga University and the Data Engineering and Machine Learning Center (hereinafter referred to as the DEML Center), operated by Teikoku Databank Ltd., has successfully developed an automated algorithm that improves the efficiency of setting optimal delivery routes for multiple trucks. DataSpider was used to polish the data used in building this system. Our employees supported the students involved in this research at the DEML Center in building the system. Specifically, we held regular monthly meetings to provide advice on building the system using DataSpider.
We also provide support to students by using Slack to answer their questions in detail, and we provide DataSpider training customized for Shiga University students before they join the DEML Center to help them get started on the project smoothly.
