Saison Technology Co., Ltd. has updated its "HULFT 10 Version Upgrade Analysis Service" to analyze recommended new features and specification changes from previous versions free of charge from configuration files for HULFT users considering migrating to the latest version of its file integration middleware, "HULFT 10." The service will be available from September 24th.

background

HULFT", the de facto standard in Japan in the field of file linkage, supports many linkages with various systems including mission-critical system, core system, and some systems still use older versions such as "HULFT8" and "HULFT7".
In order to support smooth upgrade to the latest version "HULFT 10" from February 2025, Saison Technology will analyze the configuration files and usage logs of the current system on behalf of the customer, and suggest points to note about functional differences between the old and new versions, as well as functions that can be improved by replacing them with the new functions. HULFT As the full-scale migration to "HULFT 10" progresses, users and partner companies have requested that the scope of analysis be expanded and that the content of reports be improved.

Update contents

The following has been added and improved in this update:

  1. Addition of analysis target products
Added Linux version and some HULFT7 products

In the first release, only "HULFT8 for Windows" was targeted for analysis, but now we have added "HULFT8 for Linux," which is the next most popular version. Furthermore, for "HULFT7" for which the end of Limited Support (extended support) is fast approaching, we have added "HULFT7 for Windows" and "HULFT7 for Linux."
  2. Improved report content
    (1) Providing information on new, improved, and incompatible features in HULFT 10 according to the product used by the service user. The "Overall Analysis Report" now includes "Impact on overall operations" and "List of changes to management information" according to the product used.
"Impact on overall operations" lists functions that have been added, improved, or are incompatible with HULFT 10, while "List of changes to management information" lists changes to management information in HULFT 10, such as "item name changes," "item abolition," and "item division."

(2) The analysis report has been divided into two files, "List" and "Details," for easier understanding.
The "Individual Analysis Report," which outputs added, improved, incompatible, and deprecated features by ID, has been divided into two files, "List" and "Details," to improve the clarity of the analysis results.
"List" outputs the presence or absence of incompatible or deprecated functions and message numbers for each ID, while "Details" outputs the message content and how to deal with it.
