A business continuity system that ensures uninterrupted service at all times

Following the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, there was a growing awareness of the importance of business continuity programs (BCPs) that ensure uninterrupted services under any circumstances. At our company, we have been working to strengthen our systems to ensure business continuity in the unlikely event of an emergency, such as by making our data centers more robust and establishing backup systems in remote locations. Furthermore, by promoting digital transformation and introducing teleworking, we have promoted work styles that are independent of location, time, and people, and have continued to provide uninterrupted services to our customers and contributed to supporting social infrastructure even during the COVID-19 pandemic that began spreading globally in early 2020.

Maintaining and improving employee health is essential for business continuity

In March 2022, in response to the government's policy regarding workplace COVID-19 vaccinations, we conducted the third workplace vaccination at our head office in Minato-ku, Tokyo, in order to reduce the burden on the local community. Going forward, we will continue to implement thorough measures to prevent the spread of infection in order to bring COVID-19 to an end, and will strive to create a safe and secure environment for our employees, their families, and related parties who are essential to business continuity.

What makes our operations unique is that we work closely with the departments that develop systems to pursue the ideal form of our customers' business.We build systems and processes based on that ideal form, and our specialists in cloud technology, networks, and monitoring systems, as well as operational systems engineers and operators, work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to support "safe, secure, and stable" system maintenance and operational services.

"Multi-cloud" services

While cloud services that any company or individual can immediately start using for data storage are expanding, there are certainly areas that cannot be covered by general-purpose services. We are working to realize "multi-cloud" services that leverage the strengths of both traditional services and cloud services, including environment construction and operation, for each individual customer.

CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team) activities

In light of the fact that cyber attacks have become increasingly sophisticated in recent years, making it difficult to completely defend against them, we launched a company-wide CSIRT in the fiscal year ending March 2021. In addition, to further strengthen our response system, we joined the Nippon CSIRT Association in June 2021. In the fiscal year ending March 2022, we will strengthen our response capabilities to security incidents by sharing cybersecurity case studies and vulnerability information, and conducting tabletop incident response training.

Personal information protection and information security management initiatives

Our company and our group recognize that among the information we hold in our hands in the course of our business, personal information and specific personal information are extremely important and must be handled with care. Furthermore, in providing our information services, which are our business, we strive to appropriately protect the information and information systems of our customers and our company with a high level of security. We have obtained the Privacy Mark (JISQ15001:2017) and certification for the international standard for information security management systems (ISO/IEC27001:2013), and we are constantly making improvements.
