Shiga University and Teikoku Databank Joint Research Center uses DataSpider

A client (a steel wholesaler) conducting joint research with Shiga University and the Data Engineering and Machine Learning Center (hereinafter referred to as the DEML Center), operated by Teikoku Databank Ltd., has successfully developed an automated algorithm that improves the efficiency of setting optimal delivery routes for multiple trucks. DataSpider was used to polish the data used in building this system. Our employees supported the students involved in this research at the DEML Center in building the system. Specifically, we held regular monthly meetings to provide advice on building the system using DataSpider.
We also provide support to students by using Slack to answer their questions in detail, and we provide DataSpider training customized for Shiga University students before they join the DEML Center to help them get started on the project smoothly.

Collaboration with Kamakura City Board of Education regarding the utilization of educational data

As part of our social contribution activities, we have endorsed the policy of the "School Collaboration Fund," which aims to enable Kamakura city elementary and junior high schools to collaborate with universities and companies to provide attractive education, and have made a donation. The field of education is highly significant in terms of social contribution, and is also one of the most important goals in the SDGs. We have been collaborating with the Kamakura City Board of Education on the safe and effective use of education data, and in the process, we have created a dashboard on the living conditions of children and students while exchanging opinions with various stakeholders.
For these activities, we received the "2021 City Government Merit Award (Certificate of Appreciation)" from Kamakura City. In school education, efforts must take into account the society of 20 years from now, when children will become adults. In order to maximize the potential of children, who are the main players in society, and to build a social environment in which no one is left behind, we will continue to work with the Kamakura City Board of Education to contribute to the realization of an educational environment that is individually optimized for each child.
