Comment from Yuka Sawaki, Product Development Department, Development Division, Development Headquarters, Saison Information Systems

I applied with the intention of finding out where I am today, so I'm very surprised to receive the award. Three years ago, my supervisor encouraged me to become the most knowledgeable person in my department in a specific field, and while I was working hard to obtain certifications on my own, a turning point came in May of last year when I was contacted to join the "Google Cloud Top Engineer Development Project*." Through continuous output, such as posting on Qiita, giving lightning talks, and hosting internal study sessions, as well as participating in internal projects and receiving appropriate reviews from mentors with extensive cloud experience, I was able to grow much faster and more significantly than if I had studied alone. As a product development engineer, I will continue to work on creating synergy with our company's products, while also deepening my understanding of generative AI and containers, aiming to become an engineer who can create great things across Google Cloud.

  • An internal project launched in May 2022 with the aim of training cloud engineers.
