~Supporting employees' physical and mental health and improving their performance at a "forest hideaway"~
To media representatives:
March 3, 2025
Saison Technology Co., Ltd.
Saison Technology Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Makoto Hayama; hereinafter referred to as "Saison Technology") will install a hyperbaric oxygen room at its head office and begin operation on March 5, 2025, in order to improve the physical and mental health and performance of its employees.
Saison Technology is using sleep tech to improve sleep as a way to support employee health. We are continuing to implement new initiatives such as the introduction of the hyperbaric oxygen room, and this time the main purpose is to regulate physical condition and daily rhythms. Physical condition is closely related to weather and atmospheric pressure, and it is said that during low atmospheric pressure, headaches, joint pain, fatigue, and depression are more likely to occur. Furthermore, an irregular lifestyle can cause imbalances in the autonomic nervous system, which can also be a source of stress. If these disorders become a regular occurrence, it can hinder performance and have a negative impact on health.
In contrast, the hyperbaric oxygen room is a device that pumps concentrated oxygen into a room that creates a pressure environment (1.1 to 1.4 atmospheres) higher than atmospheric pressure, and is expected to improve weather-related illnesses such as headaches, promote fatigue recovery, and improve concentration. Equipped with a work desk, chair, and power outlet, the room is not only suitable for relaxation, but also for concentrating on work while ingesting highly concentrated oxygen. It is also said that inhaling highly concentrated oxygen reduces the burden on the autonomic nervous system, leading to improved quality of sleep at night, and a synergistic effect can be expected with the sleep-related initiatives that Saison Technology has been promoting.
The office has an area called "Forest" that uses realistic trees, and by installing the new hyperbaric oxygen room nearby in an ex-area that resembles a "forest hideaway," the plan is to make the entire area function as a place for healing and rejuvenation. Employees who have tried out the hyperbaric oxygen room have said things like, "My eyes felt relieved and my vision improved," "My body felt warm and relaxed, probably because my blood flow improved," and "My leg swelling went down and I felt refreshed."

Comment from Makoto Hayama Representative Director and President of Saison Technology
Our company places importance on "people" as one of its material issues, and values protecting the health of its employees, who are the foundation of that. We hope that the introduction of the hyperbaric oxygen room will help alleviate illnesses caused by changes in weather and barometric pressure, as well as disruptions to daily rhythms, and will help employees rest and revitalize their minds and bodies. We hope to continue supporting more comprehensive health improvements in the future.
