We will explain the meaning of 5G (five g).

What is 5G?

5G (five g) is an abbreviation for 5th Generation, and refers to the "fifth generation mobile communication system." 5G has three features: "ultra-high speed and large capacity," "ultra-low latency and high reliability," and "multiple simultaneous connections."

5G communication speeds are significantly faster than conventional 4G, and it is said that in the near future, download speeds of up to 20Gbps and upload speeds of up to 10Gbps will be achieved.

5G will enable send of high-quality video and improved data communication capabilities, including big data. 5G also aims to reduce latency to less than 1 millisecond, enabling highly reliable communication in near real time, which is expected to lead to full-scale use in autonomous driving and remote medical care. 5G is also said to be capable of simultaneously connecting approximately 1 million terminals per square kilometer, making it an essential element for connecting the large number of devices and sensors that will accompany the spread of IoT.
