What is Hybrid Cloud?

A hybrid cloud is an operational form that combines and uses multiple different environments, such as public clouds, private clouds, and on-premise physical servers. By combining and using different environments, it is possible to take advantage of the advantages of each while covering up their disadvantages.

For example, public clouds, where multiple companies build systems on servers shared by multiple companies and use services, have the advantage of being low cost and allowing resources to be used only when and as needed. On the other hand, private clouds, which build dedicated environments on the cloud, have the advantage of being easy to customize to meet each company's requirements and offering superior security. Hybrid clouds make it possible to use different servers depending on the confidentiality and nature of the data, for example, storing highly confidential data on the private cloud and less confidential data on the public cloud. However, hybrid clouds tend to be more difficult to operate and manage as the system configuration becomes more complex. Therefore, it is important to note that they require high levels of skill from engineers.
