"Multi-tenant"

Explain the meaning of multi-tenancy.

What is multi-tenancy?

Multi-tenancy is a system in which multiple users share and use the same resources, such as the same server, application, database, etc. For example, in the case of a server, this would be a method in which a physical server is virtually divided and each user uses the area assigned to them.

Multi-tenancy is often used in SaaS (Software as a Service) cloud services. When using SaaS, users share the same applications with other users. This means that they can use the applications and functions they need when they need them at low cost, and they can leave management and operation to the cloud provider. However, one disadvantage is that it is difficult to customize to perfectly suit your company's needs.

In contrast to multi-tenancy, a configuration in which a single user exclusively owns resources is called single-tenancy.
