What are NFTs?

NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is an abbreviation for "digital data with an unforgeable certificate of authenticity and proof of ownership." While traditional digital data can easily be copied by third parties, NFTs record information on the blockchain, making it difficult to copy or tamper with, and can independently prove ownership of a specific digital item. This makes it possible for digital data to have the same asset value as real-world paintings or jewelry.

This allows the use of NFTs to expand ownership of digital content and lead to the creation of new business models. Currently, in-game items, digital art, music, comics, and limited edition products with digital bonuses are all being sold online and traded using the ownership transfer mechanism provided by NFTs.
