「UI」

We will explain the meaning of UI (User Interface).

What is UI?

UI (User Interface) is the interface between the user and a product or service. It refers to the part of the product or service that the user actually sees and operates when using it.

Specifically, for a website, the UI is the sum of all the elements that users come into contact with and operate, such as the menus, buttons, links, and text input fields displayed in the browser. Similarly, for application software, the UI is made up of elements such as menus, toolbars, and dialogs arranged on the screen. Thinking about how to arrange elements and how to get users to respond is called UI design. UX is a term related to UI, but UI refers to things that come into direct contact with users, such as operability and design, while UX refers to the intuitive experience that the UI provides and the impression it leaves, such as ease of viewing.

The role of UI is to make a product or service easy to see, understand, use, and appeal to users. The quality of the UI has a major impact on the impression of the product or service itself.
